JOEY CAPLAN

Joey began his career as a critic in his first year at McGill University, studying Sociology. One evening, a friend encouraged him to watch a film called White Girl. He hated this film with such passion that he stayed up the whole night, writing down his thoughts for no other reason than to vent his frustration. This moment of hatred became a great love, as Joey would realize that he adored criticizing movies – both positively and negatively. He started imrightreviews.ca, as well as writing for the McGill Tribune. Following his undergrad, Joey abstained from pursuing anything even remotely related to his major, instead working as a casting associate in Toronto. He has worked on many prestigious projects, most notably The Boys, What We Do in the Shadows, and Blackberry. He is currently an editor at GamingTrend, where he reviews video games, in addition to his beloved film and television. He has also conducted numerous interviews with well-known actors, artists, and other members of the industry. He no longer thinks White Girl is that bad.
